In preparation for maintenance work in the upcoming weeks, the WRWS will perform test shutdowns of small sections of the water system. These tests are critical to our operations and maintenance programs as they ensure proper control water flow while we perform needed valve, hydrant and other maintenance in the system. Our crews will be operating gates valves in the each section and opening hydrants to check the effectiveness of the shutdowns.
This work will take about two hours at each location listed below, the disruptions will be brief, and service restored to each location upon completion.
- 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM - Nantasket Ave – Park Ave to Wharf Ave on the 12” water main
- 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM - Nantasket Ave – # 301 Nantasket Ave. to Nantasket Rd
- 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM - Whitehead Ave - Nantasket Ave to First St
- 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM - Edgewater Rd - Nantasket Ave to # 18 Edgewater Rd
- 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM - Nantasket Rd - Nantasket Ave - Fifth St
Residents and businesses in the immediate area may experience fluctuations in water pressure and discoloration of water. Please check the water before doing laundry and report any issues to waterquality@weirriverwater.com.
