Due to continued high fire danger and ongoing drought conditions, the outdoor fire ban in Hingham has been extended until further notice. This restriction applies to all forms of outdoor fires, including fire pits, chimineas, outdoor fireplaces, cooking fires, and any other type of recreational fire.
The Hingham Fire Department urges the public to:
- Dispose of heating ashes responsibly and cautiously.
- Only discard smoking materials into proper receptacles to prevent accidental fires.
It is essential to understand the seriousness of Red Flag Warnings and to follow these precautions to help reduce the risk of wildfires. Your cooperation in staying informed, prioritizing safety, and acting responsibly is critical to protecting lives and property.
