[ARCHIVED] A Message from Hull Sewer Department

WRWS Color on Gray 2 x 3

June 6, 2024

To Whom It May Concern:

The Hull Sewer Department has engaged the services of National Water Main Cleaning Company (NWMCC) to conduct cleaning and inspection of the existing sewer lines across various areas within the Town of Hull. This routine operation is aimed at assessing the condition of our infrastructure and gathering valuable insights for future maintenance planning. We have been notified by the Weir River Water System that the utilization of water from fire hydrants by NWMCC in specific areas of the town may be contributing to water discoloration experienced by some residents. It's important to clarify that this discoloration is not due to sewer issues. Often, when there's significant water movement within pipes, it can stir up materials, leading to temporary discoloration. We expect NW.l\1CC's work to continue for approximately another week, and anticipate that any potential discoloration that this may be causing will diminish over time as their operations conclude.
