[ARCHIVED] Winter Storm Alert

Storm Warning

The Town of Hingham is actively monitoring a significant winter storm, with blizzard conditions possible, expected to impact the area on Sunday, February 22nd through Monday February 23rd. Forecasts indicate the potential for very heavy snowfall, with some projections reaching up to 24 inches, along with strong, damaging winds, whiteout conditions, and hazardous travel.

  • A parking ban is in effect beginning at 3:00pm Sunday, February 22nd through the duration of the storm. All vehicles must be removed from streets to allow plows to work. Violators will be towed. Please stay off the roads to allow crews to work safely.
  • Safety is our top priority, and we focus on getting roads open first, followed by sidewalks. Please bear with us as we navigate cleanup. We appreciate your patience as we work to keep our community accessible.
  • All Town Facilities (Town Hall, Hingham Public Schools, Library and South Shore Country Club) are closed on Monday, February 23rd.
  • For more information please see see the Emergency Preparedness page on our website: https://www.hingham-ma.gov/979/Emergency-Preparedness

Thank you for your patience as we navigate this storm and be safe.
