[ARCHIVED] Update on the September 3, 2024 State Primary

Ballot Drop Box

Early Vote by Mail Ballots

The Secretary of the Commonwealth sent out an additional mailing of 2024 Vote by Mail early voting post card applications for both the September 3 Primary Election and the November 5 State (Presidential) Election.  We have already sent out over 5000 Early Vote by Mail ballots.

If you choose to Vote by Mail, please be sure to fill in all the requested information and SIGN the card.  Otherwise, a ballot cannot be sent to you.  Please mail the card to the Town Clerk Office or drop it off in the drop box in front of Town Hall.

The deadline to apply for a mail-in State Primary ballot is August 26, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

The deadline to apply for a mail-in State Election (Presidential) ballot is October 29, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

A note to Unenrolled Voters: If you are an unenrolled voter (not enrolled in a specific party, sometimes referred to as an Independent voter), you must choose which ballot you would like for the Primary: Democratic, Libertarian or Republican. Many folks believe if they are unenrolled, they must choose a Libertarian ballot, this is not true.   Without the choice of ballot indicated, a Primary ballot will not be sent. Your party enrollment will not be changed based on this choice of ballot.  For more information on how to vote in a primary, visit the Secretary of State's election page

Deadline: Return those ballots no later than Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 8:00 PM via USPS or deliver to the Town Clerk drop box in front of Town Hall.

Early Vote by Mail ballots cannot be delivered to the polling locations on Election Day.
