Notary Services

The Town Clerk’s Office offers limited notary services.  Documents needing notarization should not be signed until the Notary reviews the document, checks the photo ID of the person requesting the notarization and the oath is given.  The photo ID should be current and not expired.

Note, the Town Clerk Office does not offer notary services for the execution of wills, codicils, trusts, living wills, powers of attorney or depositions.  Additionally, M.G.L. c.222 s17(e) prohibits a notary public who is not an attorney licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth to conduct a real estate closing nor act as a real estate closing agent.

Notary services are available by appointment only.  Please call the Office at (781) 741-1410 to make an appointment and identify what type of document you would like notarized.

There is a $10.00 fee for the initial notarization and $5.00 per additional.
